Lori A Edge, I personally used peppermint , grapefruit and lemon essential oils, a couple drops each and added them to an empty vegetable capsule. I get mine from Young Living because I feel safe ingesting their oils 😉 NOT all essential oils can or should be ingested.
Do you mix all three in a veggie cap and how many times a day do you take them?
Hi Paula, yes I mixed them all in one veggie cap . I took one in the morning and another around dinner.
I personally don’t advocate essential oil ingestion. I use these oils in my diffusers and in in roller bottles.
I ingest Young Living oils, and I find that adding 3-4 drops each of lemon, grapefruit, and peppermint oils to my (mint) tea at least once a day has been a wonderful diuretic, appetite suppressant, and mood enhancer. I struggle with water weight and edema, especially during hot/humid weather, and I was amazed at the amount of fluid loss after my very first cup of tea with the above blend. I could take the blend in a gel capsule, but I also love the aromatherapy benefit of putting the blend in my tea. Co-workers also comment about the lovely “spa” smell when I drink the tea in my office!
Becky, I personally don’t agree with ingesting essential oils on a regular basis. Hopefully you’ve done your research.
