If you love and use essential oils, making DIY gifts with essential oils is the best way to lavish your family and friends with gifts that will not only show you care, but gifts that will also make them feel special.
Making homemade gifts using essential oils can be very rewarding, both because you know you are gifting the best, but also because you’ll be saving money and the environment. Many times, when you make gifts using essential oils, you can recycle old glass containers, sweaters, tee-shirts, etc. I LOVE it when I can give new life to old, used items in my home!
In a hurry? This book has 30 easy to make recipes & ideas for Christmas gifts!
Today I bring you lots of ideas for gifts you can make with your essential oils: perfect for family and friends, but also for co-workers, classmates, teachers, and neighbors. Here are some great Christmas gifts using essential oils.
Favorite DIY Gifts With Essential Oils
Energizing Lemon Sugar Scrub
This vibrant, energizing lemon sugar scrub is easy to make and the perfect way to spoil a deserving hard worker in your life: your mother or grandma, your child’s teacher, or your bets friend 😉
Here’s what you’ll need to make it:
- 2.5 cups of white sugar
- 1 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 5 drops lemon essential oil (optional: the sugar scrub already smells AMAZING even without the oil. If you use the lemon oil, make sure you stay out of the sun, since all citrus oils are photosensitive, and you risk getting sunburned)
- cute glass containers

I always use essential oils to perfume my own home-made soaps, rather than fragrance oils. The latter are inclined to set the mixture before I’m ready to pour.
