Don’t you hate it when you wake up with puffy eyes in the mornings? I sure do, so I went on a mission to find the best serum for puffy eyes. What I found is easy to make, and will give new life to your tired eyes! But first, let’s look at what causes puffy eyes and how can we help reduce swelling naturally.
Puffy Eyes Causes
Here are just a few of the reasons for puffy eyes:
- crying too much
- allergies
- lack of adequate sleep
- stress
- water retention
Natural Remedies For Puffy Eyes
If your eyes are puffy often, I’m sure you’d love to learn how to get rid of puffiness under the eyes. Depending on the reasons for your eye puffiness, here are a few home remedies for puffy eyes:
- drink plenty of water
- watch your diet: some foods can cause allergies, and if you suffer with puffy eyes you should avoid them (nuts, dairy, soy, shell fish, egg, dairy, etc.)
- get 8 hours of sleep daily
- find ways to relax and avoid stress
Another type of treatment for puffy eyes could involve applying a compress on your eyes for 15 to 20 minutes (tea bags are perfect for this).
Cucumbers are also great for puffy eyes: just cut a couple slices and rest them on your eyelids for a few minutes. Your eyes will feel refreshed and the bags under them will get smaller.
You could also use a cooling eye mask for puffy eyes: ohhh… I imagine how good this would feel on my tired eyes!
What Is The Best Serum For Puffy Eyes
I recently came across a video on YouTube and now I have a wonderful serum for puffy eyes that really works. It’s simple and easy to make and the essential oils are good for my skin.
To make this puffy eye serum you’ll need:
- Carrier oil (I LOVE argan oil!)
- 12 drops rosemary essential oil
- 6 drops lavender essential oil
- 6 drops lemon essential oil
- 1 drop neroli essential oil (optional)
- 5 ml roller bottle
Start by adding the essential oils to the bottle and then fill it the rest of the way up with your carrier oil. That’s all it is to it and it works wonderfully. I love this serum for those days when I just don’t get enough rest and I’m sure you will, too. When you wake up in the morning with puffy eyes, roll it on and you’re ready to start your day.

I’ve always preferred to use natural remedies so this is very helpful. I suffer a lot with allergies. Am definitely going to give this a try.
I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, I get my sleep and eat well, then I don’t suffer allergies either. So I will post this to my Pinterest board in case things in my life change and I need this. Thanks, it sounds like it would smell wonderful.
