Did you know that breakfast is the most important meal of your day? That’s right: if you’re one of those people who skip breakfast, or even worse, get a doughnut and a cup of coffee, you’re setting yourself up for lots of problems, including obesity, diabetes, heart disease a a host of other health issues. Let’s look at how you can start your day with some easy breakfast smoothie recipes that you can make in just minutes!

I don’t know where I heard this, but it stuck with me over the years: eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.
It’s been proven that eating a bigger meal at breakfast and smaller meals for lunch and dinner helps women (and I’m sure men) lose weight.
OK, so maybe you can’t eat a big breakfast (at least not yet). You’re always in a hurry to get out the door in the morning (maybe you have little ones, an early job, or even if you just have a hard time getting up early enough to make breakfast), and don’t have enough time, but you can take 5 minutes for yourself.
These 5 minutes will set you up for a better day:
- a clearer mind
- more energy
- better focus
- a feeling of contentment, knowing you are gentle to yourself
Easy Breakfast Smoothie Recipes
Smoothies are one of the easiest ways to have breakfast. Even when you don’t have time, you can just make your smoothie, pour it in a bottle or mug, and get going. It takes me less than 5 minutes to make a smoothie, and clean up after myself.
All you need to do is wash your fruit (and greens, if you use them), pop them into your blender (I LOVE my VitaMix), give it a good whirl (about a minute is all you need), pour your healthy smoothie in your drinking container, rinse your blender and off you go.
Vitality blend chocolate smoothie
Chocolate for breakfast! Doesn’t that sound wonderful? It sure does, and with the Viance Vitality blend it’s also healthy 😉
I recently learned about Viance Nutrition and have been enjoying their products. they make it soo easy to stay healthy on the run! This morning I used the Vitality blend to make myself a smoothie. And it came out oh, so YUMMY! Here’s what I used:
- 1 scoop chocolate vitality blend (they also have vanilla, but I couldn’t skip an opportunity to have chocolate every day for breakfast)
- 1/2 banana
- 1/2 cup frozen blueberries (you can, of course, use fresh. I picked mine in season last year and froze them for smoothies and muffins)
- 2 pitted dates (I have a sweet tooth, but still want to eat healthy, and these are perfect!)
- 1 cup of soy milk (if you want to save calories, you can use plain water )
That’s all: I blended it all for about 45 seconds, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast smoothie: it was creamy, chocolatey, and with bits of date for some texture (I wanted it this way. If you prefer it all smooth, just blend it 30 more seconds).
Strawberry vanilla smoothie
If you don’t like chocolate, or would rather have a vanilla flavored smoothie, use the vanilla vitality blend with some cashews and strawberries. Oh, that sounds absolutely heavenly! Here’s what you’ll need:
- 1 scoop vanilla vitality blend
- 2 tablespoons raw cashews (these will give you some much needed protein and make your smoothie very creamy)
- 1 cup strawberries (both fresh and frozen will work)
- 1 teaspoon of raw organic honey
Again just mix everything and blend for about a minute. Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy!
Raspberry banana spinach smoothie
Green smoothies are very popular and for a good reason. Hide some greens to your smoothies, and you won’t even know they are there.
Here’s what you need to make this delicious and healthy smoothie:
- 1/2 cup of raspberries
- 1/2 ripe banana (best if it’s spotted and really sweet)
- 1 cup of baby spinach
- 1 cup of milk (soy, rice, and almond are all great options)
Blend for 45 to 60 seconds and start your day right with this delicious healthy breakfast smoothie.
With so many healthy options, you should never start your day hungry!
If some days you don’t have time to make a smoothie, don’t worry: Viance Nutrition has a blender bottle that will mix your vitality blend in about 30 seconds: just add a scoop of the powder, a glass of milk, shake and you’re done. Now you have a yummy drink that will give you a boost of energy, and a good start to your day.
