Ugh! Cellulite! So many of us have it and it’s not pretty!
What is it? Cellulite is a fat deposit under the skin, making it look like dimples on your buttocks, arms and legs (a few other places too, but these are affected the most). Exercising regularly, and losing weight will definitely help diminish the dimples look. But today I’ll share with you best essential oils for cellulite.
Cellulite is a big problem for many people and unfortunately, most of the products sold to diminish cellulite are expensive and don’t help very much, if any. But essential oils can work wonders.
The Best Essential Oils For Cellulite
Juniper berry essential oil – the juniper berry oil has antibacterial properties, but it can also reduce water retention, and stimulate circulation.
Fennel Essential oil – the fennel oil has diuretic properties, helping flush out toxins and decreases water retention. Make sure you drink plenty of water when using it to facilitate the process of detoxing.
Black pepper essential oil – the black pepper oil is known for improving circulation. It also tones muscles, helps remove toxins and clears pores, making skin affected by cellulite look better.
Grapefruit essential oil – the grapefruit oil contains bromelain, an anti-inflammatory enzyme that can help break down cellulite.
Other oils that might help cellulitis:
- peppermint oil (increases circulation)
- geranium oil (improves skin tone)
- cypress oil (improves circulation, good for detoxing)
- rosemary oil (removes toxins)
Essential Oil Blend For Cellulite
This essential oils blend can make a huge difference if you use it daily on your problem area. You’ll need:
- 1 oz dark colored bottle
- 1 oz grapeseed oil
- 5 drops each of these oils: fennel, black pepper, juniper berry and grapefruit
- Mixing bowl
- Funnel
To make the blend, just measure one ounce of the grapeseed oil to your mixing bowl. Then add five drops of each one of the essential oils. Next, pour it into your dark colored bottle and you’re done.
Use this every day and watch your cellulite disappear. Watch Sophie’s video for more details.
For example, she suggests dry brushing your skin before taking a hot shower, then massage this essential oil blend into your problem areas.
I know this is going to sound silly but you have to consider the fact that I’ve never given much thought to self treatment for cellulite. I was always under the impression that you would have to spend a lot of money and get professional hep to treat cellulite. It is so great to learn that it can be treated with essential oils.
