Essential Oils Gift Baskets

I love giving gifts that mean something. Anyone can go buy the “popular” gifts, but not many will take time to think and plan for an awesome gift. A long time ago, I had a gift basket business, so today I thought I’d share how to make your own essential oils gift baskets to give as gifts this holidays season and throughout the next year.

Gift giving doesn’t have to be a challenge. Just make a list of your recipient’s likes and passions, and you’re ready to go.

What To Include In Your Essential Oils Gift Baskets

Let your imagination go wild before you make your essential oils gift basket. Think of a theme first: it will be easier to organize your thoughts if you have a theme.

Here are some basics for any essential oils gift baskets you might plan to create:

Gift basket containers

While a wire basket is beautiful and classy, and a wicker basket is sturdy and a great choice, your container doesn’t have to be a basket. You can use a gift box, a gift tote, an essential oil carrier, a stainless steel container, a small foot washing tub, a mesh waste basket, and so many other containers, depending on the theme of your basket!

Filler

This can be crinkled paper, newspaper covered with fabric, peanuts covered with some pretty looking colored tissue paper, or tulle. The reason to have this filler is so that your gift items can be visible, and not hidden in the bottom of the basket. It also gives you the opportunity to color coordinate your basket.

Content of the gift basket

The contents  of your essential oil gift basket will differ depending on your theme for the basket as well as your recipients. Here’s one tip for arranging you basket beautifully: start with the taller items in the back of the basket, and add the smaller items towards the front of the basket, so you can see every single gift in your basket.

For example, if you wanted to introduce someone to essential oils, you could include these items:

• one or two essential oils books
• a few basic essential oils, like lavender, lemon, and peppermint
• a couple roller bottles
• a couple glass spray bottles
• an essential oil necklace diffuser
• a bottle of carrier oil
• some recipes they can create with those few oils you gifted them

Convenience Gift Basket With Essential oils

If your essential oil gift basket is for someone who already loves oils, but maybe doesn’t have the time to make their own blends, you could create a gift basket with some already made essential oil products. This also could work for an essential oil newbie.

• an all purpose cleaner in a spray bottle
• a few roll-on bottles with blends for relaxation, focus, energy, etc. You know your recipient best, so include things they’d enjoy
• a room spray
• a couple of essential oil books
• an essential oil lotion you made yourself
• essential oil bottle opener key
• an essential oil perfume

I guess you get the idea. For a new mom you could include some relaxing blends, or homemade diaper rash cream. For a college student, you can add some energizing diffuser blends and a diffuser to keep them awake while they study, and so on.

Gift basket accessories

Once you have all your gifts set up nicely, you’ll need to wrap your gift basket in either cellophane, or in tulle. I love tulle for a very feminine look. Finish it off with a nice bow, and you’re ready to make someone happy with your essential oils gift basket.

Of course, if you love to decorate, you can all kinds of decorations: you can add a stuffed animal, some silk flowers, some beads, etc.  Just have fun!
